France is the cradle of solitaires, or patience games. In troublous years of 17-th century, royal prisoners searching a way to kill time during their confinement originated the framework of what is now widely known as solitaires.

Both solitaires and reasons why people enjoy playing with these patchworks of cards have changed since then, of course. In the contemporary world, we sometimes need a break from an everyday hustle and tedious treadmill.

A good solitaire not only helps you relax and kill time, but also is a great mental gymnastic and hours of fun.

Patience Beleaguered Castle
In this game you can play 1 deck with no redeals. The goal of the game is to move all cards to the Foundations. The game begins with four Aces placed in the Foundations Pile. The piles are built down regardless of suit. Only one card can be moved at a time. An empty pile can be filled with any card.

Baker's Dozen
You have 1 deck and no redeals. Your goal is to move all cards to the Foundations. The piles are built down by rank regardless of suit. Only one card can be moved at a time. The game begins with empty Foundations Pile. Only the Kings can fill empty piles.

Patience Cruel
There is 1 deck and unlimited redeals. The goal is to move all cards to the Foundations. The piles are built down by suit. You can move one card at a time. Empty piles cannot be filled. When no more moves are possible click on the Talon for a redeal. The cards are not re-shuffled, but re-dealt in pack of 4 cards.

Congress
In Congress you have 2 decks and no redeals. Your object is to move all cards to the Foundations. 40 cards are dealt into 8 piles. These piles are built down regardless of suit. Only the top card is in play. Empty space can be filled automatically from the Waste or Talon.

Easthaven
You have 1 deck and no redeals. Your aim is to move all cards to the Foundations. The cards are built up by suit. The rules are simple: playing piles can be built down by alternate color. Empty space can be filled with any card or sequence. When you click on the Talon, a card turns over and moves to the Waste stack. You can move cards from Talon to the Waste pile scores of times. You can also move the cards from the Foundations to the playing pile.

Klondike
Solving solitaires is not only a way of time-killing distraction; it is also a sure way to relax after work. Long winter nights, it helped Jack London's characters to amuse their leisure. Those who were swept with the 'Klondike Fever' could have invented the name for one of their favorite solitaires.

Pyramid
In this game you have 1 deck and 2 redeals. The goal is to gather all cards to a single Foundation. You can put one card on to another when the sum of their values comes out at 13. Queen equals 12, Jack equals 11. Kings may move to the Foundation by themselves. Suit doesn?t matter here.
